![]() If I play Cultris, I end up with roughly 1.4 keys per piece for my left hand (rotation and harddrop) and also 1.4 for my right hand (movements). I use vertical spawning directions, and I need about 2.8 keys per piece where just 0.4 come from rotations. If your setup is balanced also depends on how you play. I use a similar setup like 1000fire (I use either hold or 180 rotate, but not both at the same time). On the other hand, 116 movements is perfect. 77 rotations is more than you would expect to have with 180 rotation. Here some stats from Microbizz' 20.55 seconds run: This run would have been 77 rotations and 116 movements (DAS included) with 2 step finesse. NullpoMino League edition has the ability to log some stats, perhaps you can calculate the key distributions from that. Most times, you have to move your piece at least once and often twice. But if you consider me replaying the Microblizz run (no 180° rotate), it would have been 185 keys for my left hand (77 rotations, 5 holds, 103 harddrops) in contrast to 116 keys for my right hand - pretty much unbalanced.ġ movement key per piece is a bit understatement. ![]() 77 rotations is more than you would expect to have with 180° rotation. I'd also recommend to use commands you need the most (such as right/left and hard drop) shoud be on middle/index or ring fingers -ġ movement key per piece is a bit understatement. Also id try to avoid using the thumb and pinkie, since these are fingers u dont use often, therefor they are slower. the less you have to move you fingers the faster ull get. I dont have to lift my finger (keyboard is totally flat) and the up/down key are together the sme size as right arrow, so i actually dont really have to move my finger im not really fast with it yet, but its very comfortable, because my hands are not close together and the are not the same high (which i find more comfortable) i think what keys you are using depends alot on your keyboard and i think it should be comfortable for you, beside that it doesnt matter. I think my middle finger is faster in switching and pinkie/thumb pressing. ![]() ![]() I got some stuff from here: left hand w=ccw a=cw s=180 d= hold right hand left arrow= left right arrow= right up arrow= soft drop down arrow= hard drop I tried to use my left hand similiar to a mmorpg's, since i played alot of them (wow, tera, aion are the biggest) the right hand i got from blink, left/right is sure but i kind of like the hard/soft drop setting. If been trying to improve my keys settings too, since i was using tf default from beginning( got rank 19 at least) so that is what im trying to learn now.
